Healed, But Not Whole: What God Showed Me About Spirit-Level Restoration

by | Jul 6, 2025 | Spiritual Management, Word of Encouragement

“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3 (NIV)

Let’s Talk About Healing, Girlfriend.

There was a season when everyone thought I was “so strong.”

I was checking all the boxes.

Smiling on the outside.

Praying out loud.

Serving at church.

Showing up for my family.

But behind the scenes, my spirit was so tired.

I didn’t want to just be healed.

I wanted to be whole.

Moving On Is Not the Same As Healing

Here’s what God showed me:

You can be healed from the wound…

…but still carrying the scar tissue in your spirit.

You can move on, get busy, fill your schedule…

…but still feel disconnected from your own soul.

I remember standing in my bathroom one morning, looking in the mirror, thinking:

“I’m functioning. But I’m not living.”

Signs You’re Healed… But Not Whole

Girlfriend, if any of these sound like you, know that you’re not alone:

••You’re high-functioning, but disconnected inside.

••You’re overcommitted, but spiritually dry.

••You’re smiling, but exhausted.

••You’re serving, but secretly empty.

Being busy is easy.

Being whole takes intention.

What God Showed Me About Spirit-Level Restoration

God whispered to my spirit one day:

“Daughter, I didn’t call you to survive. I called you to come back home to yourself.”

He reminded me that true healing isn’t just moving on from pain.

It’s reclaiming the woman I was created to be.

How I Started My Soul-Level Healing

Here’s how my journey began:

💜 I Gave Myself Permission to Pause

I stopped performing faith and started sitting in it.

Even when the silence felt uncomfortable, I let God meet me there.

💜 I Got Honest in My Journaling

I started writing prayers I’d never dared say out loud:

“God, why am I so tired even though I’m doing everything right?”

“Lord, who am I without all my roles and responsibilities?”

That’s why I created my Prayer Journal.

Because sometimes you need a safe place to let it all out, page by page.

💜 I Invited Guidance and Community

God didn’t mean for us to heal in isolation.

I reached out for support. For coaching. For women who could look me in the eye and say, “I’ve been there.”

Healing Means Coming Back to Yourself

Gitlfriend, you deserve more than being “fine.”

You deserve to wake up feeling connected to your own spirit.

Healing is about coming home to yourself.
